16th Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival
September 17–October 11, 2020
Berwick-upon-Tweed, UK
Online at bfmaf.org

For the 16th Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival—my fifth edition on the team—we reimagined our annual 4-day festival as a three-week online festival with screenings on our new website, live discussions, podcast interviews with artist/filmmakers and commissioned essays. As usual, I contributed to research, curating and writing in all areas, with special programming attention to several areas: the retrospective of the short films of Indian filmmaker Payal Kapadia; a multi-media presentation of the work of Hong Kong filmmaker/writer Tiffany Sia; and the Previews presentation of Fern Silva's upcoming 2021 feature film Rock Bottom Riser.
